Firebrand politician and serving head of Telangana wing of Congress Revanth Reddy was arrested by the cops for the second consecutive day on Thursday. However, Revanth Reddy was arrested today for a different reason and upon his arrest, the TPCC chief was shifted to a nearby police station.
The arrest of Revanth Reddy did not go well with TPCC Working President Mahesh Kumar. Condemning the arrest, the Working President asked why the opposition leaders were arrested without any proper reason. He alleged that the Police system is working for the ruling party.
Launching an attack on the ruling outfit Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Chief Minister KCR for reportedly targeting the opposition leaders, Mahesh Kumar drew a comparison between the ruling of KCR and North Korea.
Having dubbed the ruling of KCR as fascist, the working TPCC President had demanded that the arrested leaders of the Congress party should be released at the earliest as there is no proper reason behind these arrests.
Revanth Reddy was arrested earlier today when he was about to reach Gandhi Bhavan to start a protest against the Telangana Chief Minister on the eve of KCR’s birthday. The protest was planned alleging that KCR has done nothing for the unemployed youth in the state.
