Trade Talk: New Releases Fail To Impress

Four movies released on Friday and none of them opened to positive word of mouth.

Kavacham, which had a delayed release in few centers due to financial issues opened on a strong note. But the word of mouth is so bad that it may face trouble to stay afloat.

Subrahmanyapuram also is off to a decent start, but the film has been receiving lukewarm response for being a clone of Karthikeya movie.

Next Enti and Subhalekhalu failed to register decent opening day numbers. 2.0 which had a fairly good first week is set for a strong second weekend.

It is particularly impressive in Nizam region where it is likely to cross Rs. 20 crore share mark on Saturday. However, the film still needs to go a long way to be a safe venture for buyers in Telugu states.

Bollywood movie Kedarnath is getting panned by critics, but is off to a decent start. Taxiwala is still doing well in A centers during weekends.
