Amid much fanfare, the official trailer of Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, dropped online today.
The 2-minute 42-seconds long trailer briefly takes us through the amazingly inspiring journeys of Divine, the Mumbai-based underground rappers.
Gully Boy, Zoya’s second outing with Ranveer after their 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do, is named after the breakout song of Divine and his troupe of street rappers – Gully Gang.
The film, a joint production venture between Zoya’s Tiger Baby and Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, is slated to hit the screens on February 14, the Valentine’s Day.
For Ranveer, Gully Boy will be his maiden cinematic outing of 2019. He last appeared in 2018’s Simmba that is currently doing phenomenally well at the box-office.
