The inter results irregularities have really put down the Telangana government. It also got a reputation that the government reacted quite lately and instead of accepting their mistakes, they kept criticizing the oppositions for highlighting the issue. By then 24 students have lost their lives. The protests are still going on this issue and now the government is alert with degree and PG results approaching.
The state council of higher education met the other day and discussed certain probabilities. The council suggested to appoint a high power committee in all the universities which will constantly look after if an error pops up. The council also has sent directives to universities and banned the use of the phone by scrutinizers while the valuation of the answer sheet. CCTV should also be set up in all the valuation rooms. Post announcing the results, if mistakes still creep in, then the lecturers who have done valuation will have to face severe consequences.
The council also informed the universities to allot Xerox copies of answer sheets to the student who apply for re-valuation and re-verification post the results.
The government has appointed a five-member committee and it was asked to come up with reforms in conduction examinations and valuation with transparency.
