TSRTC employees were not dismissed: HC

Responding the petition filed by professor PL Vishweswar Rao, the High Court has said that the TSRTC employees were not dismissed either by the TRS government or the RTC management.

Professor Rao filed a petition requesting the court to intervene humanitarian crisis among RTC employees as the government is not allowing the employees to get back to their work which is forcing them to take drastic step. However, the court countered the petition filed by professor Rao.

“It’s the RTC JAC leaders are to be blamed as they were one who called for strike not the government,” said the High Court and asked the petitioner to show evidence the deaths of RTC workers are purely because of the government’s attitude.

Suggesting to take legal procedure regarding the PF and other financial transaction details, the court said, “On resume their duties, employees have the capacity to invoke Labour Law and there are many ways to get their grievances addressed.”

The High Court has opined that the RTC protest has changed its shape now as the JAC leaders have called off the strike and so the petitioner should come up with new petition as the employees lives and their children’s future are at stake.
