TV5 journalist Murthy’s arrest was the hot topic in both Telugu states for the past three days and there had been a rumor that the AP police went to Hyderabad to arrest him for telecasting all the false news on the AP government. Some said that he was arrested by the Police and others opined that he might have absconded as he wasn’t been visible on screen for the past two days.
On Friday, Murthy came on the screen all of a sudden and clarified that hasn’t been arrested and no FIR has been registered against him yet. Though he agreed that there have been many attempts to book under a case and he said that he took a two-day break from his channel in search of a conspiracy against him and to find out what is really happening outside. He even said that he has the best legal representation to defend if any false cases would be implied on him by the AP government.
All this series of events appear as a drama and it is yet to find out who is behind it. It could be Murthy behind all these by spreading a rumour who wanted to protect himself from the ever powerful AP Government. So that he could send a message to the government that he is well prepared for any worst outcome.
There are chances that Murthy’s arrest rumour is a gamble played by the AP government as a warning to this senior journalist so that he can step back and think twice before telecasting controversial news against their government.
