Two Pilots Suspended For Cockpit Row!

It is known that Air India took action against a pilot who allowed his girlfriend to sit in the cockpit. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) slapped the airline company with a fine of Rs 30 lakhs for this. A similar incident happened on the Delhi-Leh flight last week. Air India swung into action in the row.

No matter how tough the actions taken by the airlines are and the Civil Aviation regulators slapping big fines, these sorts of incidents are not stopping. As if they don’t have time to meet their girlfriends, they are making them sit in the cockpits. Air India took a serious decision with a pilot and co-pilot inviting a woman into the cockpit.

When the cabin staff complained that a lady passenger entered the cockpit of the AI-445 Delhi- Leh flight, the company took the matter seriously and gave orders grounding the two pilots. “The (latest) incident took place on AI 445 last week after the flight took off from Delhi. Both the pilots have been off-rostered since then,” a senior officer said.

The directorate general of civil aviation responded to the matter and said that the issue came to their notice. The official said that the required actions will be taken as per the guidelines. Air India set up a committee to probe the matter.

It is known that the incident of the pilot inviting his girlfriend into the cockpit that happened on the Dubai-Delhi flight on Feb 27 created a sensation. Air India responded to this and canceled his license. The company faced a big fine of Rs 30 lakh for the mistake.
