A lot of heroines are not limiting themselves to a single film industry in recent times. They are working in multiple industries at the same time as they are accepting good stories from every region. With the pan-Indian culture getting bigger with each passing day, a film made in one language is being dubbed in other languages as well. This is why a lot of young heroes are picking universally appealing scripts and trying to increase their market across South India before touching the North.
This is working in favor of heroines too as a lot of heroines used to work with every big star in one language and right when they are fading out, they went to other industries. But the latest movies which are releasing across South India are benefitting the heroines as every film of theirs is releasing in different states making them relevant for longer periods.
Kannada beauty Krithi Shetty entered Tollywood with a blockbuster like ‘Uppena’ which collected more than 100 crores at the box office. The next two films ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ and ‘Bangarraju’ were hits too but the three films ‘The Warrior’, ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’ and ‘Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali’ turned out to be huge failures. Many thought that her career is going downward at a very early stage. But her lineup of films proves otherwise.
She has Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Custody’ in her hands. It is coming out in May and her next film is with Sharwanand under the direction of Sriram Adittya. There are good expectations over this combination. In Tamil, Suriya is making a pan-Indian movie and Krithi Shetty has been confirmed as the heroine in it. This movie will go on floors once Suriya completes his movie with director Siva.
She has another project as well. She is the heroine in Malayalam hero Tovino Thomas’ upcoming pan-Indian flick which is in the shooting stage. Mythri Movie Makers are entering the Malayalam film industry with this film. The youngster is busy in all three languages right now and she will become a star heroine even if two of them become good hits.
