Ongole sitting MP YV Subba Reddy has been denied ticket by YS Jagan and in place of him, recently joined Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy will contest for Ongole Parliament this time. As Subba Reddy was snubbed, he stayed away from party activities for a while and there were even reports that he would quit politics.
On Wednesday out of nowhere Subba Reddy appeared before the media and gave an explanation. Accepting that he did expect Ongole ticket once again, Subba Reddy said he was occupied with personal works all these days and so had to be away from party. “Yes I was upset but it’s party’s decision. And it is also true that Jagan had offered me Rajya Sabha seat but I would like to stay in active politics and so I have refused Jagan’s proposal,” said Subba Reddy.
Adding he said, as per the current political situations in Andhra Pradesh state, Jagan should become the chief minister. “I’m the incharge of Godavari districts and will work for the success of YSRCP candidates in the elections,” concluded YV Subba Reddy.
