At a time when everyone is anticipating record-breaking collections for Saaho, with fans of actor Prabhas expecting new records that even beat Baahubali and Baahubali 2, the film has surely watered down all the hopes.
If we look at the USA premieres of Saaho, the film collected $915,224 from 317 locations in with a per-location average of $2,897. All these tickets are sold without any special offers, which means the film has made it considerably big, but not any record-breaking figures.
If we look at the Top 5 Premiere Gross at the USA box office, we have Baahubali 2 ($ 2.4 Million), Agnyaatavasi ($1.5M), Baahubali 1 (1.36M), Khaidi No 150 (1.29M) and Spyder (1 Million) standing in the order. But with just $ 915K Saaho hasn’t only failed to breach the 1 Million Mark but also denied entry into the Top 5, forget about being a Top 1 movie.
That’s surely a disappointment for fans, however, the film would have easily made 1.5+ million dollars had the distributors arranged the Premieres properly, and started ticket sales in advance, rather creating a mess.
