Varma defers film on senior NTR for now?

Has ace director Ram Gopal Varma put off his plans to make the film, if not a complete biopic, on legendary actor and former chief minister N T Rama Rao for now?

According to sources in the film industry, Varma has pushed his project – Lakshmi’s NTR on the backburner, for at least another five or six months, since he would be busy with making a film with Akkineni Nagarjuna, the shooting of which has formally commenced on Monday.

“He has not been talking about his film on NTR these days, after creating a lot of controversy initially. In the meantime, he has taken up this project with Nagarjuna, who wants his film to be as a big hit as their first film Shiva was. So, Varma will be focussing on it for another five to six months,” sources said.

Even the script work on NTR biopic had not started and there was no talk with Lakshmi Parvathi either till now.

She is understood to have told some media friends that Ram Gopal Varma had no interest in making a film, except creating hype.

Meanwhile, she is worried about the plans of another maverick film maker Jagadeeshwar Reddy to make a film on her past history.

Interestingly, there is no word even from the producer of Varma’s film on NTR so far. The producer Rakesh Reddy from Chittoor district made tall claims about the film on NTR, but after that, he has gone into silent mode!
