Mega Prince Varun Tej scored a disaster in the form of ‘Ghani’. Though ‘F3’ was a hit, the major credit is taken away by Venkatesh. He is aiming to score a blockbuster with his next project. He is currently working on an action flick under Praveen Sattaru’s direction. The director made ‘Garudavega’ with Rajasekhar and ‘The Ghost’ with Nagarjuna. Both were high on fights and stunts. Varun Tej is going to be seen as a police officer for the first time in his career.
Mega fans are expected a very powerful story as police movies require a strong plot and tight screenplay. Already, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun who hails from the same family have become pan-Indian heroes. The ‘Tholi Prema’ hero is reportedly planning to establish himself as an action hero now. Sources say that he is only picking performance based high voltage action films that do not have a lot of scope for dancing. This is the plan to expand his market as per reports.
This is why he is picking up different concepts and Praveen Sattaru’s film falls under the same category. The title of this film is ‘Gaandheevadhaari Arjuna’. Apparently, the team is trying to release the film during the summer season. The majority of shooting has already been wrapped up and the regular shooting will be completed soon.
Grapevine suggests that the makers are aiming for release either by the end of March or during the initial weeks of April. Apart from this, Varun Tej is working on a pan-Indian project as well. He will be seen as an Airforce pilot in that film and Manushi Chillar will be seen as the female lead.
