This is the season of sports movies. Several films with a sports theme are currently under progress in Tollywood and two films are being made with boxing as the backdrop of the story.
One is Varun Tej’s 10th film being directed by newcomer Kiran Korrapati and the other is Puri Jagannadh’s multi-lingual pan India movie starring Vijay Deverakonda.
Puri Jagannadh has not yet announced the release date for this movie as he has collaborated with Karan Johar for the Hindi version.
They have to decide the release date considering all languages and competitions in respective regions. But Varun Tej wants to release his movie before Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda’s movie gets readied.
Because both the movies have boxing as the main theme and Varun doesn’t want comparisons with Puri’s movie. Apparently, he is releasing his movie first.
The film’s shoot is underway in Vizag and is expected to wrap it up in just four months. The untitled film has locked July 30 as the release date. The heroine has not yet been locked either.
