After witnessing the crowds in the markets yesterday even amidst the total lockdown, the Telangana government is considering various options to control this situation.
It is understandable that the public is in a panic mode of buying extra groceries for 3 weeks to 2 months straight. But if for buying groceries all the public gets together, then what is the use of a lockdown?
So, Telangana Government has discussed about handling the chaos by delivering food directly to the doorstep. But if vegetables are sent to the colonies, then the people will again gather there also in huge numbers, says CM KCR.
So, there is a special committee created which is looking for alternatives to the grocery supply without compromising the safety.
KCR had already clarified in a press conference that there is additional supply available for everyone and no reason to panic. But he promised to import much more vegetables from nearby States if the supply decreases.
So, KCR is considering to give permission to the farmers to directly to the different societies and colonies to sell their vegetables. If this happens, the lockdown can be exercised successfully.
