Natural Star Nani’s much-awaited mass action drama film ‘Dasara’ is all set for a grand release on March 30th in multiple languages. Directed by Srikanth Odela, this pan-Indian project stars Mahanati Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role. Ahead of the release, the talented diva interacted with the media and shared interesting details about her role in the movie.
Explaining about her role in Dasara, Keerthy said, “I played a challenging role. It used to take a few hours even for applying and removing make-up. We shot in a rustic background like dust and coal. It was initially difficult to play a character who speaks the Telangana dialect. But I got used to it after a while. My character’s name is Vennela. The character Vennela connects to everyone.”
Revealing her hard work in preparing for this role, the actress said that the director asked her to decrease by 12 Kilos for the film. However, she denied his request owing to her commitment to other movies. “I decreased three Kilos. He said you look authentic even though you did not decrease weight. I took that as a compliment.”
When asked about the Telangana dialect, she added, “Srikanth Odela’s associate Srinath taught me it. He is well-versed in the accent. There is also a professor who helped me. I dubbed myself for Dasara. Usually, I take two or three days for dubbing. But Dasara took five or six days.”
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri on a grand scale under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, Dasara will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
