Not all the scenes that are crafted will make to the final cut of the movie. Sometimes the director chops few scenes even before sending the movie for dubbing and re-recording itself. Here comes one such scene from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that was released on Geetha Arts YouTube a while ago.
In fact, one look at the scene explains why Trivikram had to remove that. And by doing that he has done a huge favour to the movie as this scene would have resulted in the film going for a flopbuster result at the box office. Apparently the scene has Allu Arjun trying to blackmail Sushanth by recording the visuals of the latter’s cigarette smoking and drinking. And then, he tries to teach Sushanth a lesson by making him catch running buses and else. So why would this scene fail in the film?
This scene, of course, looks like a good guy getting tortured by the psychotic hero who wants to exact revenge on the bad deeds of his unoriginal father. That would surely make Allu Arjun’s honest character graph go twisty and curvy by giving a bit of negative touch. Definitely it would not have worked with the family audiences as they have seen enough of such in Sreenu Vaitla’s movies.
On the other hand, it looks like many such scenes involving Sushanth and Allu Arjun might have faced the axe due to the very same reason as they want to keep hero’s characterisation very clean and honest. Keeping such scenes would have surely altered the result of the film.
Featuring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in lead roles along with Tabu and Murali Sharma, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo collected nearly 160 crores share this Sankranthi at the Telugu box office.
