Bollywood actress Vidya Balan’s film shoot was abruptly halted in Madhya Pradesh after she downright rejected a state minister’s dinner invitation.
Vidya is currently shooting in Madhya Pradesh for her forthcoming film `Sherni’. She and the film crew have been in the state for the past 2-3 weeks for the filming of some crucial scenes in the woods. Recently October the team was seen doing opening shot pooja while fully covered in PPE kits
As per credible sources, vehicles of the production team were believed to be stopped by district forest officer GK Barkade from entering the forest for shooting. It occurred subsequently when the entertainer turned down Madhya Pradesh’s foreign minister Vijay Shah’s dinner invite offer.
Also Vijay shah quashed such allegations and claimed that it was he who rejected the invite request in the first place. Few reports claim that more than the permitted carts with generators were entering and hence stopped.
“I was in Balaghat on request from those who took permission for the shoot and requested me for lunch or dinner. I said it wouldn’t be possible presently and will meet them when I go to Maharashtra. Lunch or dinner was cancelled, the shoot wasn’t,” he stated.
Sherni helmed by Amit Masurkar has a plot that explores the idea of man-animal battle that incidentally stars Vidya Balan as the forest department officer.
