Vijayendra Prasad reveals why NTR wears Muslim cap in RRR

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of this year. The film has caught everyone’s attention since its inception. Apart from creating a great curiosity among the people, the film had also landed in a controversy after showing lead actor Jr NTR in a traditional Muslim outfit.

We know Ram Charan is essaying the role of Alluri Sita Ramaraju, while Jr NTR is playing the revolutionary Komaram Bheem. In the introduction video of NTR, the makers included this part where the actor can be seen in the Muslim get up. This didn’t go well with Komaram Bheem’s family members, and they even opposed it.

Now, legendary writer Vijayendra Prasad has opened up on controversies surrounding RRR. Addressing the criticism received for NTR’s appearance, the veteran writer said there was a reason behind it. “He is being haunted by the Nizam of Hyderabad. So, he is trying to escape the people of the Nizam police. So, what is the best camouflage? Simple. He is playing a Muslim boy so that he won’t be found.”

Mr Prasad also said there is a surprising reason for showing Ram Charan as a cop in the film. The film, produced by DVV Entertainments, is slated to release on 13th October 2021.
