While the outrage on ‘Adipurush’ is still going on, the collections of the film have dropped down drastically. A lot of politicians and celebrities have expressed their unhappiness over distorting a historic story like Ramayana. While the makers claim that they did not make Ramayan but just got inspired by it, a lot of people are unhappiness over it.
Director Vikram Bhatt claims that he has not watched the film but asked the team,â€First of all, I am confused whether Adipurush is the Ramayana or not. I’m told that in the beginning of the disclaimer that this is not the Ramayana, it is inspired by the Ramayana. At the same time, they want to keep one seat for Hanuman Ji because wherever there is Ramayan, Hanuman Ji is there. So, whether it is Ramayana or not is for the makers to decide.â€
He added, “I think making these kinds of films is not about entertainment or worldwide numbers. All an all, these kinds of films are about belief, faith and worship. You know how people in the olden days used to build temples of their favourite deities? It was not for any profit. It was their way of worship and gratitude. And I think when you’re, in a way, calling people to worship then it has to be about worship.”
As we know, the outrage for some particular dialogues is so huge that the team removed them from the film recently. The Cine Workers Association have penned a letter to the Prime Minister demanding a band on the movie’s screenings across the country. It looks like the suffering of the ‘Adipurush’ team may not end anytime soon.
The look of Saif Ali Khan as Ravana has been kept under wraps and we will get to see him only on the big screens and the audience are making fun of it now. T-Series produced this movie. Prabhas will be seen as lord Ram in this movie. Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita while Sunny Singh is Lakshmana.
