India cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has emerged as second most followed Indian celebrity after Prime minister Narendra Modi in India on social media. Surprisingly, Kohli overtook Bollywood hero Salman Khan and ranked second in the popularity.
The total followers to Kohli have gone up by 6 lakh more than Salman Khan on Facebook. The Indian captain is maintaining 35,434,956 followers on Facebook, 16 million followers on Twitter and 14 million followers on Instagram.
Kohli already featured in the 2017 Forbes list of ‘The World’s highest paid athletes’ in the world. He ranked 89th on the list with a total pay of 22 million dollars.
While Prime minister Narendra Modi ranked first in the popularity on social media this year also by having more than 42 lakh followers.
