Indian National team skipper Virat Kohli, one of the fittest players on the side was in the news with a tweet he made on Tuesday, clearing the airs on him being a vegan and taking dairy products.
The Run Machine in a tweet said, he never said he was a vegan and said he called himself a vegetarian. Take a deep breath and eat vegetables, if you want, the skipper maintained.
“I never claimed to be vegan. Always maintained I’m vegetarian. Take a deep breath and eat your Veggies (if you want),” Virat Kohli tweeted earlier today.
Virat Kohli, who leads the RCB team in the IPL made the tweet after he revealed in a question-and-answer session that his diet included egg white and other items. Virat did a question-and-answer session on Saturday, in which he shared his opinion and gave answers to fans’ questions.
My diet would consist of lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of coffee, dal, quinoa, lots of spinach, the skipper said during the session. I love dosa too, Virat Kohli added.
Post-2014, Virat Kohli had stopped eating meat and turned vegetarian. Talking about the same, he said after making changes in his diet, he feels lighter which reflects on the field.
Coming to the game, Men in Blue led by Virat will lock horns with New Zealand in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The final will be played from June 18, and Southampton will host the match. After the WTC, India will play against England, for a Test series.
