The Indian chess grandmaster and a five-time world chess champion, our country’s pride, Viswanathan Anand expressed his opinion that versatile B-town actor Aamir Khan would be the best amongst all actors to play him in his biopic. Wait, the biopic on Vishwanath Anand is not on board. Though we wish for it, it is still expected that someday, a biopic on the chess champion will happen soon.
The love story and married life of Vishwanath with Aruna Anand is really inspiring and fascinating tale that a biopic on them will turn out to be an intriguing masterpiece for sure. When asked on the same, Mr Anand said, ‘Aamir plays and understands chess. He is a great method actor. I can only hope he is interested,’ said Anand.
Vishwanath Anand attended an event on Sunday in Hyderabad which was a launch ceremony of his autobiography, Mind Master. The event had more than 400 plus people and children, who are passionate about Chess. The host was the novelist-journalist Sriram Karri.
The autobiography book will contain significant milestones of his life, challenges and evolution as a chess player. Also, a few essential life lessons for everyone to learn over a lifetime. Anand went on to speak that even Chess player are keen on fitness and go to gym regularly.
Talking about gender equality in the sport, he said, ‘there is absolutely no reason why a woman chess player cannot be the world champion. From Humpy in India to Judith Polgar, women have competed well against men in the world chess championships; the glass ceiling is only waiting to be shattered.’
Now, this hyperboles our expectations that very soon someone comes forward and make one of the greatest biopics on Vishwanath Anand, the first recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and India’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan.
