SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Bahubali is a game-changer not only for Telugu cinema but for Indian cinema. Every time a big-budget film with VFX gets announced people compare the film with Bahubali. The same is the case with the big-ticket film coming from Bollywood Brahmastra, given its budget and scale.
Enough of the wait, the makers unveiled the much-awaited trailer earlier today. The film story mixes the elements of nature with the superpowers mentioned in our epics Astras. While the story has a lot of layers, the VFX is not up to the expectations and is a big letdown.
Brahmastra has been dubbed as a film that is driven by stunning visuals. Once, Ranbir Kapoor said Brahmastra might be the Marvel-like thing from India, and the lead star making such comments usually took the expectations to the next level. But the trailer has something else to offer. The trailer left many disappointed.
The makers could not reach the expectations fans had on the visual effects as they are not up to the mark. Movie lovers have set a landmark after Bahubali. But the Ranbir Kapoor starrer could not impress as far as the visual effects were concerned. We have just watched RRR and people still have the visuals in mind.
Despite spending such a big amount on the film, the visual effects are not impressive. The film has an ensemble cast who are playing key roles. How the director fared in getting the best from the actors and how impressive his story stelling skill is determines the box office success of the magnum opus.
Brahmastra is helmed by Ayan Mukherjee and is made on a big budget of around Rs 300 crores. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are playing the lead pair, marking their first Collaboration. The couple recently tied the knot and the film is special to them.
The high-ticket film has an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. Mouni Ray will be seen in a baddie role as the leader of evil forces which want to capture the mighty Brahmastra, the most powerful Astra. Shiva played by Ranbir turns savior of the world.
