In the last few days, TDP leaders and couple of individuals have joined YSR Congress party. The number might partially go up in the coming days. However, if more leaders join the party, there would be severe competition for the tickets. This would bring unnecessary troubles for the party during the elections and to stay away from this, Jagan has set a deadline.
To the upset leaders in TDP and in other parties, Jagan sent an internal message that February 20th is the last date to join YSR Congress and after that there is no entry unless they have a recognition statewide or popular in their constituency.
The ground reality is, so far leaders who have joined YSRCP, got no assurance of ticket from TDP and so they quit the party. As YSRCP too had no takers in few constituencies, it welcomed whoever resigned to TDP.
How many more leaders will take up YSRCP in the next 72 hours? The number might be not that encouraging for the party and so to Jagan.
