YSRCP members moved a resolution in the Assembly to discuss the drought issue of the State and questioned the government for not protecting the concerns of women. Speaker Kodela suggested taking the subject after the question hour. But the opposition party members staged a protest coming near the Speaker’s Podium and shouted slogans alleging that women in the state lacked protection and security. On the other hand, TDP MLA Anitha has slammed YSRCP members for continuously raising the issues of Rishiteswari, Vanajakshi and Ragging in some colleges including Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur and tried to defend the government about the measures taken by it.
