Congress rebel MLAs Rega Kantha Rao and Athram Sakku have alleged that they received calls from the big leaders of Telangana Congress and have offered Rs 50 Lakh to vote for Congress candidate in MLC elections.
Speaking to the media for the first time, both the Congress rebel MLAs criticised Telangana Congress and its leadership. “Why can’t we meet CM of the state for the development of our constituencies and why do we need to take your permission,” questioned they.
“When we approached the chief minister with the list of issues pertaining to constituencies, CM offered us to solve on timely basis. With the assurance, we decided to take up TRS flag. If that happens, then we are ready to resign to our MLA position and will definitely contest on TRS ticket,” said Rega Kantha Rao.
“By alleging that we were sold to TRS, Telangana Congress is insulting Aadivaasis in Telangana and if we are really greedy, then would have stuck with Congress party which offered Rs 50 Lakh” said the rebel MLAs demanding an apology from Uttam and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka for their comments.
