One of the most talented directors in Tollywood at the moment is none other than Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi alias Krish. Though he has got sidelined from Bollywood film Manikarnika, now he has most prestigious #NTR biopic in hand to deliver. Apart from that, he is also producing mega hero Varun Tej’s upcoming film.
With Krish being one of the producers of Antariksham 9000 Kmph, the director got pretty excited other day as he took part in the trailer launch event that took place at AMB Cinemas. “Hundreds of stories are lying in trash cans because they have a director and producer but not a hero. That’s where we have to appreciate Varun for accepting this story and taking it forward”, said Krish.
What Krish said is quite true that a big hero is needed to take a concept forward. But then, there is also another way around. In Hollywood, they take relatively unknown and less popular faces for films that have huge themes and make them into a blockbuster. When Titanic came, no one knows who is Leonardo DiCaprio or Kate Winslet. Similarly, we don’t know the heroes of films like 2012, King Kong and other Spiderman until we saw those films.
So, to take a concept forward, one needs strong conviction of telling a story rather than doing ‘bhajana’ around a hero to get his dates. What say, folks?
