What Made Mamata Banerjee Go Soft Towards BJP?

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is a strong critic of the BJP. The fight between BJP and TMC reached its peak when the state went for the general elections. She proved that she is a tough candidate and even expressed her willingness to enter national politics to take on the mighty BJP. She is expected to play a big role in opposition parties against the BJP.

But she changed her tone and stand against the BJP these days. A few days back, the Chief Minister said RSS is not a wrong organisation and there are good people associated with that. Without any doubt, the opposition parties gave a strong reaction to her comments.

She surprised everyone by saying that the Prime Minister might not have any role in the central agencies targeting the politicians as they are just doing their work. Her comments came when the opposition parties are accusing the BJP of using the central agencies to settle political scores.

But her sudden change in approach towards the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the political experts feel that, out of fear of central agencies she might have done this. Her nephew is said to be on the radar of the central agencies.

It has to be mentioned here that a Cabinet Minister of West Bengal was arrested in connection with the teaching scam. As a result, she was forced to reshuffle her Cabinet. Her nephew is dubbed as her political heir and if something happens to him and he gets arrested, the future of TMC would be in danger and this might have made her change her stance towards the BJP as per the experts.
