Sunday dinner meeting is the hottest topic in the YSRCP now. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is hosting a dinner to all the ministers in his cabinet. CMO staff have already sent invitations to all the ministers for the dinner in the Tadepalli residence of the chief minister.
Sources say that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to broach the subject of cabinet reshuffle and could even talk to the ministers who would be asked to quit. Sources say that Jagan is likely to seek the resignations of all the ministers and then forward them to Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan. He is also likely to give key responsibilities in the party to the ousted ministers. Hence the dinner is now much talked about and most ministers are going to the dinner with a lot of trepidation.
Sources say that Jagan is happy about the way the YSRCP legislators had performed in the budget session. The YSRCP has successfully outwitted and outclassed the TDP and did not allow it to hijack the session with their agenda. He is said to have expressed happiness at the coordinated performance of all the YSRCP leaders.
There are 24 ministers in YS Jagan cabinet. Of them, Mekapati Goutham Reddy passed away recently due to a massive cardiac failure. That has brought down the number of ministers to 23. Sources say that barring four or five ministers, all others are likely to be replaced. YS Jagan has taken caste, regional and religious issues into account before preparing the list of the new ministers who are likely to be sworn in on April 11.
