TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu found fault in Anakapalli MP Avanti Srinivas shifting his loyal to YSR Congress party. In a teleconference with party leaders, Naidu had a detailed discussion about leaders who are quitting the party.
Chandrababu opined that Avanti left TDP only to protect his assets and properties which are in Telangana. “Avanti is threatened and he was left with no option to leave TDP. The other day the MP was with me in New Delhi at the protest venue and the next day, he resigned. What happened in just 24 hours?” explained Naidu.
The TDP supremo also directed his party men to keep relations and party on different sides. He took out the example of his own family. “In my family, Purandeshwari is in BJP while Daggubati Venkateswara Rao is in YSRCP. But I never mixed politics and relations. Have faith in the party and it will protect you,” added Chandrababu.
He said that few of them are trying to do damage to the party by provoking caste politics and at any cost, this should not be encouraged. Local party leaders and from the same community must condemn such things and make sure they don’t repeat in the coming days.
