There is one speciality of the Tirupati MP seat bypolls. The TDP took it as a prestige issue and fought a hard battle. Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu had campaigned for a record eight days, while Lokesh Babu has campaigned for no less than two weeks. Both managed to attack the YSRCP fiercely and held meetings small and big. However, one TDP stalwart was missing in action.
Guess who? Its Lokesh’s father-in-law and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. Yes. Balayya Babu did not campaign even for a day in such a crucial poll battle. . This has become a topic of hot discussion and both TDP cadre and Balayya Babu fans are debating as to what happened. Sources said that a lot of star campaigners were specially invited by the party office. Their dates were decided and arrangements were made for their campaign. Even for Balayya Babu the same procedure was adopted. Neither Chandrababu nor Lokesh made personal calls and requested him to campaign. If sources are to be believed, Balayya Babu felt slighted and did not join the campaign. What rubbed salt on the injury was that Lokesh Babu himself was campaign incharge.
Despite that he did not call up Balayya Babi and sought his dates. So, Balayya Babu decided that he has better things to do and stayed away from the campaign. Though the party set up is not talking about this issue, but the party workers and NTR fans are hotly debating this.
