Generally, it has become a norm for many ‘celebrated’ leaders including that of Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, NTR, Chiranjeevi and now Pawan Kalyan, that they will be contesting in two constituencies upon their political debut. And now, many are quizzing why a charismatic leader like Pawan is also contesting in two places.
As an MLA, Pawan stood in the race from both Gajuwaka as well as Bhimavaram in the upcoming assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh. This is because earlier local parties colluded against Chiranjeevi in Palakollu and awarded him a defeat. But frankly speaking, if Pawan wins at the two places, then there will be a by-election in the constituency he wants to give up.
When quizzed about the same, Pawan said, “Under special circumstances, we are actually forced to do this way as I’ve to strengthen the party at all the places. And then, if we are talking about public exchequer, then the amounts of money Chandrababu Naidu wasted on Pushkaralu and Jagan amassed in scams is nothing before this”.
While Pawan has a bit of logic in the first answer, his second answer where he mocked Naidu and Jagan made him a seasoned politician. Well, we have to see how far this works in the election.
