YS Jagan Mohan Reddy may be all powerful and could take decisions at the click of a hand. But there are few things he is unable to do. He is unable to contain some senior leaders, who are speaking their mind out. These leaders are not only slamming the party, but are also critical of the chief minister himself.
One such leader, who is not only critical of the YSRCP government, but is also targeting YS Jagan at the drop of a hat is DL Ravindra Reddy. DL has of late been criticising the YSRCP government. Come to think of it. DL Ravindra Reddy is from Kadapa, which is the home district of YS Jagan.
DL is a close friend of YS Jagan’s father YS Rajasekhara Reddy. But, he has always been against YS Jagan. In fact, he had once contested against YS Jagan for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and had even lost his security deposit. In 2014 elections too, he had backed the TDP. He had worked for TDP leader Putta Sudhakar Rao. However, he was unhappy with the TDP and then joined the YSRCP ahead of the 2019 elections.
In 2019, he backed the YSRCP and worked for the victory of Mydukuru YSRCP candidate Raghurami Reddy. But, soon after the elections, he began slamming the YSRCP and YS Jagan. He said that under YS Jagan’s rule, the financial position of the state has deteriorated. He said that he would also contest the 2024 elections. Inspire of these strong criticism, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has not taken any action against DL Ravindra Reddy. He also has shown any inclination to counter DL. All these show that there is some weakness that Jagan has to overcome while dealing with indiscipline.
