Back in 2017, Tollywood was hit hard by an alleged drug row. A few names from the industry popped up in the row and were grilled. The issue also took a political turn with the opposition parties raising allegations against the ruling party. Revanth Reddy aggressively targeted the TRS.
All this is in the news as another drug row was busted. A producer was arrested in connection with the case and the investigation is underway to get further details. A few names popped up who are said to be related to the producer. However, they are rubbishing all the allegations.
Amid this, Telangana IT Minister KTR was asked about this. He was asked about the allegations made by Revanth Reddy and others. The Minister gave a swift reaction and said that he did not even lay his hand on a cigarette and that doing drugs is a very big thing.
KTR also asked why he should react to these allegations. To make his point, KTR said that if he says anything about Revanth, will he try to bust the allegations and prove his innocence. Then what’s the point in reacting to the allegations leveled against me, he asked.
KTR went on to ask what can we achieve with such personal attacks. If there are any issues in his functioning, they can point out them and he welcomes that. But such personal aspects are of no use, he said.
What KTR is saying has a point. He is proving himself by improving the infrastructure and inviting big companies and playing his role in the development. If there are any issues in this, then they can be debated.
