Normally, IPL season and Bigg Boss season have become two high TRP rating gainers for the telecasters. Other broadcasters have to think about new shows or come up with new additions to existing shows when these two big giants come on TV.
Shows can hope for better TRP ratings only when IPL matches go dull and during Bigg Boss Season, the show goes dull for a week or two. Bigg Boss proved to be stronger than other reality and game shows in keeping audiences glued to them.
But in a rare coincidence, the two giants are clashing with each other from 18th September for the first time. Due to pandemic, IPL had to be postponed from the regular summer season to September this year.
With mega blockbuster opening match featuring Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, the big boss of entertainment will have to jostle for space in its current season. So, the effect and impact of IPL, considered the ‘mother of franchise cricket’ in the world, on Bigg Boss reality show, will be highly interesting to watch.
Already people have gotten acquainted with the new set of contestants on the Bigg Boss show this year and definitely, there would be a fight between family members about their respective preferences.
