Megastar Chiranjeevi has a line-up of remakes post Acharya release. He green signalled remakes of Malayalam blockbuster Godfather and Tamil Blockbuster Vedalam in Telugu with Mohan Raja and Meher Ramesh, as directors.
Both the films have important sister characters at the core. For Bhola Shankar, Vedalam remake, Keerthy Suresh is finalised to play sister character.
Already she played a version of that character in the original director Siva’s new movie, Annatthe with super star Rajnikanth. But if she accepts Godfather remake, the character is different from Bhola Shankar and slightly aged. So she may lose on heroine roles in other hero films.
Well, makers of Godfather remake are facing troubles in finalising the sister actress. They tried to get on board Manju Warrier, Suhasini, Nayantara and few others but no one agreed.
As the character is important but aged, Ramyakrishnan might be the best option, if the actress agrees. The sources suggest that Mohan Raja might come up with few more changes to accomodate Keerthy Suresh and reduce the age of the original character to fit the actress, if she agrees.
So, will the actress accept to act as sister for Megastar back-to-back? We have to wait and see. For now, Megastar team is facing problems with casting for that film.
Reports claim that Salman Khan will be seen in a cameo in the film and he will shake a leg with Megastar in a song too. Also, a song will be sung by world famous pop singer Britney Spears, say reports. Let’s wait for official confirmation regarding these developments from the movie team. The shoot for the film is expected to start from January end.
