Will the two IPS officials, who have taken a voluntary retirement from their services and took a political plunge, join hands in the Telugu states? If they join, what will be their joint impact on Telugu politics? Will both follow the same political ideology? These questions are arising ever since former CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana complemented RS Praveen Kumar.
The other day, Lakshminarayana has not just congratulated RS Praveen Kumar for taking political plunge but even said that both he and Praveen Kumar share the same principles. He said he was a fan of Praveen Kumar and added that he was among the first to congratulate him on taking a voluntary retirement. He further added that both he and Praveen Kumar share the belief that one should work hard to play one’s role in using the constitutional safeguards and provisions to benefit the people at large.
Lakshminarayana, who took voluntary retirement from the police service in Maharashtra, had contested for Anakapalli Lok Sabha seat in 2019 on Jana Sena ticket and has polled the highest votes among the Jana Sena candidates, is now a freelancer politician unattached to any party. He has been moving closely with the BJP affiliates, but has not joined the BJP. But, RS Praveen Kumar is pronouncedly anti-BJP in his outlook. He has already joined the Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati.
Despite their differing political belief systems, can they come together? Can they work together? While Lakshminarayana is mainly focused on Andhra Pradesh, Praveen Kumar is focused on Telangana. Where is the common ground between them? How will they work together? One only hopes that both Lakshminarayana and RS Praveen Kumar reveal their plan of action at the earliest.
