Telangana CM KCR is planning to undertake a tour of all the districts in the state. The last time he planned a tour, the Omicron scare forced him to cancel his programme. Now he is planning to visit all the districts to inaugurate the newly-constructed collectorate buildings in several places. He is also likely to participate in the swearing-in of the newly nominated district TRS presidents.
In a clear show of preference for the youth, he has appointed youth as district TRS presidents in 19 of the 33 districts. When these young presidents called on him for advice and guidance, KCR reportedly told them that he would visit their districts and would give whatever directions they needed in their home districts.
Interestingly, there was no reorganization of the party committees since 2015. The old committees have been functioning for the past six years. Now, he has asked for the formation of the district level committees afresh. He has asked the party functionaries to ensure that the youth gets adequate representation in the top echelons of the party. He is said to have told the party leaders to ensure that there is no bickering in the party over posts and positions.
KCR has already begun the groundwork for the 2023 elections. He wants to score a hat-trick by winning the elections a record third time. KCR is also said to be working on the candidates. According to TRS insiders, he’s planning to announce the candidates at least six months in advance to enable the candidates to reach out to the voters.
