With just one week left for the election results for both Assembly and Lok Sabha, YSR Congress President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is still the most preferred choice as the Chief Minister for punters. While his party has already shifted base to Amaravati and has decided to operate from there, those betting on him believe that Jagan’s message for “change” echoes among people.
While Telugu Desam Party and its Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has been reflecting his confidence that the yellow party will retain power and has been motivating the cadre, it is believed that he is not the favourite choice among the betting racket in the state. Visakhapatnam, Krishna and Godavari districts are seeing high stakes involved in the betting rackets.
Huge bets are stacked upon YSRCP Chief while there is also rampant betting on Pawan Kalyan’s prospects in the state. According to sources, there are heavy bets even on some crucial constituencies where the TDP and YSRCP are expected to win by huge margin.
Bookies in AP expect that bets would touch the Rs. 2,000 crore mark. A majority of the punters are placing bets on the YSRC winning and bookies are going for betting in the 1:1 ratio, which means if the punter bets Rs. 1 lakh on the TDP win, he would get another Rs. 1 lakh if it wins.
