The counting of votes in the municipal elections has begun in AP. The counting began at 8 a.m. While counting has been suspended in Eluru, election staff are counting 27,29,072 votes in 11 municipalities.
As per the latest information, YCP is in full swing. YCP won in Giddaluru and Kanigiri municipalities in the Prakasam district.
In Giddaluru, YCP won 9 out of 20 wards. In Kanigiri, YCP won 10 seats in 20 wards. Officials announced the result after the completion of the counting of ordinary votes along with the postal ballot. YCP won the highest number of wards in Kanigiri municipality and won the chairmanship.
With this, the YCP activists started their celebrations. In Kadapa, YCP won 68, and TDP won 19 votes on Badvel postal ballot.
