YCP MLC Challa Ramakrishna Reddy passes away due to Covid-19

YCP MLC Challa Ramakrishna Reddy of Kurnool district died due to Covid-19 today. He had been receiving treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad for several days. Government sources said he was on a ventilator and was in critical condition.

Doctors noticed covid symptoms in Ramakrishna Reddy on December 5. He was in the home quarantine for a few days. But as the symptoms increased .. he was admitted to Apollo Hospital on December 13th.

The news didn’t come to light that Ramakrishna Reddy had corona infection until he died. Challa Ramakrishnareddy was the second public representative to die of corona infection.

He is one of the senior leaders of Kurnool district recognised as a faction leader. He succeeded as Panyam MLA in 1983.

He was in Congress from the beginning and joined the TDP in 2014 in the aftermath of YS ‘death. During Chandrababu government, Challa was given the post of AP Civil supplies corporation chairman.

However he publicly confessed his dissatisfaction about the post. He later joined the YCP in the last year elections as MLA on March 18 2019.
