YCP senior leaders lodged a complaint with the Speaker against SEC

A complaint has been lodged against State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar by the two senior ministers of the ruling party with the Speaker Tammineni Sitaram. The complaint read that the SEC made serious allegations against two senior ministers. The ruling party has been very tactful and complained about the SEC under ‘violation of assembly rights’.

However, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar says that he has not made any controversial remarks against anyone. On the other hand, Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, expedited action on petitions alleging violation of assembly rights. The speaker referred the matter to the Privilege Committee.

In the past, in the wake of the panchayat elections, ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana, and others have made controversial remarks on Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. It is a known fact that many YCP leaders, including MP Vijay Sai Reddy and government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishnareddy, are furious over Nimmagadda. Legal experts are of the opinion that if the Privilege Committee reports recommend taking ‘serious action’, Nimmagadda will not be in trouble.
