The Bharatiya Janata Party is slowly trying to emerge as the main opponent to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, in Telangana. Especially after the victory in the Dubbaka by-elections, the BJP looks all the more determined to win the upcoming elections as well.
In that process, the BJP is trying to get as many new, yet senior and tenured members from other parties, especially the Congress, into the BJP. Previously, there were reports that Vijayashanti was considering joining the BJP all over again, but the Congress party somehow managed to hold her back for the time being. Former Hyderabad Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy and her husband Chandra Reddy too recently joined the BJP.
Now, Sarvey Sathyanarayana, one of the senior most members of the Congress party is reportedly going to join the BJP very soon. The official date of joining has not been announced yet, but it is pretty clear that this investiture will take place pretty soon.
Sarvey Sathyanarayana is the same man who was suspended by Telangana Congress president Uttam Kumar Reddy, in 2019, after the fromer blamed the latter for the Congress’s debacle in the general elections of 2019. Sarvey Sathyanarayana went on to demand Uttam’s removal from his post as the President of the Telangana Congress.
With Sarvey’s addition to the BJP, and probably many more, the BJP is going full throttle into the GHMC elections, perfectly determined about winning these as well, and continuing its winning streak. Furthermore, the BJP has also roped in Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena this time, which is only going to add more power and strength to the BJP.
