Bihar YouTuber Rashid Siddiquee was in the news for passing disparaging comments and slander campaigning actor Akshay kumar in case of Rhea and late Sushanth Singh Rajput.
In reply to this, Akshay kumar retaliated sharply by sending a lawsuit seeking 500 crore for damages caused through his lawyer.
But the YouTuber has hit back and slammed the defamation notice issued against him by actor Akshay Kumar and declined to pay 500 crore. He asserted that there is nothing defamatory or derogatory in his videos and urged to explain for the same. Siddiquee has also demanded Akshay Kumar to withdraw the notice, failing which he would initiate a counter lawsuit.
Siddiquee in his fitting reply sent via his advocate J P Jayswal on Friday, claimed, the accusations made by Akshay were “false, vexatious and oppressive and is raised with an intent to harass him”.
It stated that subsequent to death of Sushant Singh Rajput, several independent reporters, including Rashid Siddiquee, provided the news as there was no appropriate information.
Siddiquee had further added that every Indian national has the fundamental right to freedom of speech. The statement included that the content need to be considered as viewpoints with objectivity. And also added that the actor’s defamation is ‘absurd’ and ‘unwarranted’ with an ulterior motive to coerce Rashid.
