The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh is using all the possible options to see that Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju, who represents Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency will get disqualified from the House as soon as possible.
Media reports claim that the YSRCP MPs are constantly meeting Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla over the issue and pressuring him to take strict action against Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju aka RRR.
Rajahmundry Parliamentarian Margani Bharat, who also serves as the parliamentary party whip for YSRCP said that Raghurama Krishnam Raju will be getting the notices from Lok Sabha Speaker in one week.
The MP said 290 page long documents were submitted to the speaker against the Rebel MP who has been working against the government by winning on the YSRCP party ticket.
Citing the example of Janata Dal (U) leader Sharad Yadav, who was disqualified from the Rajya Sabha by the then Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, YSRCP asked the speaker to disqualify RRR.
As speaker Om Birla is looking into the representation given by the ruling party, YSRCP is confident that RRR’s game is up now and he will be disqualified from the house.
However, RRR is also confident that he will not be disqualified from the house as he thinks he never violated any rules and never went against the government or Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It’s interesting to see what Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will do in RRR’s case.
Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju and the Andhra Pradesh government have been at loggerheads over the past few months.He made controversial statements against the Chief Minister in the past.
He took the issue to a next level, by moving the court to seek directives to cancel Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail. The MP said, Jagan Mohan Reddy is violating the bail rules and that is why he had filed the petition in the Court in this regard.
When he was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh CID sleuths, he alleged that he was mistreated in the custody and said, due to the alleged custodial torture, he sustained injuries. He moved the Supreme court to get a bail in the case.
