In a very interesting scenario on the polling day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, web searches from the two Telugu states showed up surprising results. According to Google Trends report, voters of Andhra Pradesh searched for YSR Congress President Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy the most while those in Telangana searched for AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The search trends in Andhra Pradesh put Pawan Kalyan in the second spot while TDP Chief was ranked third. Meanwhile, trends in Telangana showed a slightly different variation as Prime Modi Narendra Modi took the 2nd position while Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao was ranked third. Another interesting name that cropped up in Telangana’s search trends is Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile, party-wise too, YSR Congress was most searched party in Andhra Pradesh while Telugu Desam Party is the most searched in Telangana. If search trends are anything to go by, then looks like people have been searching for parties which have a negative sentiment in these states.
