YSRCP Rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh CID sleuths last week on sedition charges, was sent to the Military hospital in Telangana’s Secunderabad for tests as per the Supreme Court.The MP was shifted to Military hospital on Monday at midnight and was examined by a medical board on Tuesday. As ordered by the Supreme Court, the medical board will submit its reports to the top court in a sealed cover.
RRR was examined at the military hospital under the supervision of Telangana high court registrar D Nagarjuna. The entire process of medical examination was video graphed. After the test reports are out, the report will be submitted to the Supreme Court.
The country’s top court, the Supreme Court, will hear the case on Friday. The medical board will submit its report on the same day. Based on the report, the Supreme Court will give further orders.
RRR was arrested by the CID officials on May 14 on his birthday from his residence in Hyderabad. On the grounds of giving hate speeches and promoting disaffection against the state government, the Rebel MP was arrested on a non-bailable warrant.
After his arrest, the MP approached the High Court. However, the HC ordered the MP to move the district court. On Monday, the Narasapuram lawmaker moved the Supreme Court to seek bail.
Hearing the case, the SC ordered that the lawmaker should be examined in a military hospital after RRR alleged that he was mishandled and mistreated by the cops. Saying that, till the further orders, the MP should be at the military hospital, the next hearing in the case was adjourned to Friday this week.
