YV Subba Reddy, a senior YSR Congress party leader and chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board chairman, and also the uncle of YS Sharmila, paid Sharmila a visit at Kothaguda, where Sharmila’s padayatra is currently going on. Subba Reddy drove to Kothaguda directly from Hyderabad, after landing in Hyderabad from Vijayawada.
Subba Reddy and Sharmila’s discussion lasted for over an hour, and later, Subba Reddy even met with Jagan’s mother YS Vijayalakshmi, at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad. Since YS Subba Reddy happens to be quite close to Jagan, it is being said that Jagan sent Subba Reddy to Sharmila, to request her to stop her padayatra as it would be a futile attempt. It is also being said that Jagan is of the mind to offer Sharmila a good post in his party if she agrees to give up her political dreams in Telangana, as according to Jagan, they are something that would work out.
On the other hand, it is also being said that Subba Reddy came to visit Sharmila on a personal note, and not on Jagan’s request. Given that Subba Reddy and Jagan are very close, and despite Subba Reddy being Sharmila’s uncle, it is being said that Subba Reddy wouldn’t meet with Sharmila, without informing Jagan. It is now to be seen what this meeting was all about.
