Zee TV which faced a huge financial crisis earlier is now betting big money on Telugu films.
The new management is pumping the money. Reliable sources have informed that ZEE5, the group’s OTT platform, has bagged the rights of Raj Tarun’s ‘Orey Bujjiga’.
ZeeTV will now have exclusive rights on the film’s OTT and satellite rights and it will release the film directly on its ZEE5 Telugu app.
Raj Tarun’s film will not make it to the theaters. The formal agreement and announcement will be done shortly.
The producer is said to have made decent profits on this deal.
Zee TV has also snatched the theatrical, satellite, and digital rights of Sai Dharam Tej’s “Solo Brathuke So Better” for good money long back and they have decided to skip the theatrical route and release it on their ZEE5 Telugu app.
This will be Sai Dharam Tej’s first OTT direct release.
Producer BVSN Prasad has made huge profits from this deal.
