The End Of Yuvraj Singh Era

Team India’s star batsman Yuvraj Singh has announced his retirement. The 37 year old made his debut in the year 2000. Yuvraj shot to fame with his second match against Australia in the ICC champions trophy. He scored a half century and also took a wicket. From here Yuvraj never looked back.

From NatWest trophy finals to the inaugural T20 world cup where Yuvraj hit six sixes in an over is a record till now. He was the ‘Man of the Tournament’ of 2011 50 over cricket World Cup. In a span of 19 years, Yuvraj has played 304 ODIs and scored 14 centuries while he played 40 Tests matches. But Yuvraj emerged as T20 specialist over the course of time.

However, Yuvraj career had many ups and downs. He battled cancer and then made a strong comeback to the Indian cricket team. Also it’s been nearly two years that Yuvraj is away from the national team due to form.
